This year we planned Christmas with Mary Karamanos-Tsatsoulis, who happens to be one of my sisters in Montreal (the others are Helen and Naty Fotopoulos). Our boys have been friends since the age of 4 and they continue their strong historic friendship.
So, we were invited along with the family of Nick Tsatsoulis. I arrived early to the most beautifully Christmas decorated home in town (the boys were sleeping!!!), and we started cooking our specialties each of us. Nick had the command of the chef, while sis Mary and sis Justinaki did their own work. Mary made a delicious turkey and I baked a Greek lemon arnaki in the oven.
The food was rich and tasty, the sweet table was fantastic. We ate to our bones, we shared memories and laughed a lot. We also discussed the situation in Greece and I was amazed how some Greek Canadians know so little about Greece’s drama.
I had the chance to talk loud and impose the true story of Greece’s problems in the eurozone. After all, you must know what you are talking about when it comes to facts. In any event Christmas day was joyous and merry at the Tsatsouli’s cozy home.
Facta (pacta) servanda sunt!
I forgot to mention that in Montreal we enjoyed White Christmas after all!
